My Tarot readings can offer clarity and direction for a particular question or a general enquiry. My skills include highlighting a “pathway” through the complexities of life and your relationships in that life. I can share basic principles with you which can be applied in your everyday experience and can help reap improvements at home, work and in your social circles. A tarot reading can help you use personal events whether they are happy or sad as a route to self-insight. The tarot can help you develop inner strength where you will see results in a better, happier more contented life. I want to share with you how real strength comes from your own self-awareness and self-unity - feeling and thinking “right” about yourself makes for good relationships, a happier you and a more fulfilling life.
At Kooma I offer Tarot Readings.
When I read for you, you can expect a fresh perspective on old problems, and /or new approaches to decision making. I will be respectful & acknowledge you and your question without judgment. Most importantly, I can help you make connections between yourself and the cards, and what those cards mean specifically at that moment to you. My readings offer guidance on how best to proceed when you have reached a deadlock in your life.
I followed a personal calling, accepting a hereditary gift. I live in the Highlands of Scotland, by the sea and in the shadow of a mountain a spiritual and magical place which gives me energy and inspiration. My journey is one of continued practice and tarot is an essential part of my way of life.
I became aware I could receive clarity in my own life through the tarot, after tarot study and meditation, a practice I continue each & every day, I began offering readings to others. I found sharing tarot a rewarding way of passing on the gift of insight.
My approach is based entirely on what I know to have worked for me, this, and over twenty five years reading Tarot for others. Academically I have a degree in sociology and social policy - I wanted deeper understanding of human actions, how I made decisions. I’m not affiliated with any school of thinking or type of working. My interest in esotericism began around aged seven, but my life experiences during the early 1980s really shaped my occult philosophy, how I work believe and behave. I consider myself a student of western Qabalah. I practice free form shamanism. I’m a student a gatherer of experiences & I run from people/organizations who claim guru type qualifications - I suggest you do the same.
I was shown a split in the world like a rip in a newspaper across the night sky. Within the rip was a world of what might be - filled with dreams, aspirations, desires - all those things people struggle after, and I saw then, with complete certainty, in that instant that what we dream of can be made reality.
I chose to read with Kooma because I believe in what the company do, helping people find the right reader in a friendly thoughtful environment, Kooma offer a professional environment which respects everyone involved.
I stay away from singular meanings. Yes it is important to acknowledge what each card stands for but more important to remain fluid enough within a reading to offer not only what's there but how a client might rethink their approach (what isn’t there). You can tell someone all day long what the Heirophant means when he meets the three of pentacles but it doesn’t really answer their question “Will he come back”. People might not like a reading but can learn to love that reading with the benefit of their ongoing experience (hindsight). No, Tarot can’t fix anything for us but it’s good to see where we might need to focus our concerns, hang ups and where we are wasting our energy. My Tarot reading is a mixture of objectively reading the cards and not giving out my opinion. I try to recognize without asking questions. Some people need confirmation they are doing this or that right. Some people need confirmation from a reading because everyone else including themselves is saying- change this or that. I might then give an opinion. But I’d much rather tell a person to dodge an approaching situation, “avoid this.” “Drop this man” When a client is in the process of reacting - I try to get the client to look at the reasons behind that reactive strategy. Sometimes Tarot has the knack of informing us of the situation, giving us clear answers which sound encouraging, shaped in a way we are eager to absorb, but Tarot also informs us of what we need to become and that takes work. Like any other tool kit – Tarot’s relevant information might become MORE relevant just as any tool becomes indispensable at the right moment.
