Take some time out while you can, with Mercury spending his last day in a very adventurous part of your chart, before he joins forces with the Sun and Venus in your career sector. With a solar eclipse now less than a week away, things are destined to get very serious, very fast on the professional front, demanding your full attention. This may be your last day for a while to really let your hair down and at least pretend to take some time out.

It seems that today's lunar vibes are keeping a friendly eye on things, moving through your work sector, stimulating your instincts and your imagination, just as the Sun and Venus put the spotlight on your career sector. While this may push a few buttons and draw your attention to the things you've been avoiding, it's more likely to bring the kind of inspiration that in turn will provide a valuable sense of direction.

About Scorpio Horoscopes

Scorpio is the eighth astrological sign in the Zodiac, originating from the constellation of Scorpius. In western astrology, this sign is no longer aligned with the constellation as a result of the precession of the equinoxes. In Astrology, Scorpio is considered a water sign, and is one of four fixed signs which can influence their horoscopes. Individuals born when the Sun was in this sign are considered Scorpio individuals. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun is in Scorpio from October 24 to November 21, and under the sidereal zodiac, it is currently from November 16 through December 15. The Indian equivalent of Scorpio is Vrishchika. The Chinese equivalent is thought to be the strong, resolute Pig, whose lunar month is 8 November - 6 December. Scorpio is widely thought to be compatible with Cancer and Pisces.

Being a water sign, Scorpio is considered highly emotional, passionate, intuitive and imaginative. Being a fixed sign it is determined, persevering, inflexible and self-confident. All of these characteristics influence their daily horoscopes. Traditionally, the planet Mars has been considered to be the ruler of Scorpio, and since its discovery, Pluto has been considered a modern ruler of this sign as well. Some modern astrologers consider Pluto to be a more appropriate rulership over the sign, citing the reason for Mars having initially ruled the sign being that Pluto had not yet been discovered. As the eighth sign in the zodiac, Scorpio is associated with the astrological house number 8, which is associated with natural Scorpio matters - birth, death, transformation, sexual relationships and deeply committed relationships of all kinds, and the occult and psychic matters are all common in their horoscopes.

In mythology Scorpio is often associated with Hades, Lord of the Underworld, who was known in Roman mythology as Pluto, and Orpheus from the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Scorpio is also associated with the Greco-Roman gods Ares/Mars. The constellation is also associated with the scorpion that killed Orion. Scorpio is the Zodiac sign that indicates the deepest interest in sexual matters, and for most Scorpios, sex is an expression of love. In medical astrology Scorpio governs the reproductive system and sexual organs. In Tarot, Scorpio is associated with the Death card, specifically as a form of regeneration.

Astrologers broadly agree that people born under the sign Scorpio are: passionate, powerful, penetrating, intense, determined, compelling, purposeful, keenly perceptive, brave, complex, analytical Inquisitive, sensual, mysterious, resourceful, ambitious, hypnotic, creative, compassionate, humble, quiet, encompassing, passionate, shock-proof, understanding of their failings. When frustrated or unhappy, Scorpios can be: self-destructive, ruthless, overbearing, suspicious, jealous, possessive, dangerous, quick-tempered, obstinate, moody, sadistic, insulting, secretive, intolerant, cunning, vindictive. All of these characteristics have a bearing on their daily horoscopes.

Suitable occupations include: detective, pathologist, surgeon, scientist, researcher, undertaker, insurer, market analyst, butcher, member of the armed service, politician, pharmacist. Likes: activity, mysteries, secrets, winning, sex, being acknowledged, strategy. Dislikes being analyzed, being asked personal questions, people who know more than they do, too many compliments, having to trust a stranger. Their likes and dislikes also influence their horoscopes.

About Marjorie Orr

majorie oA top international astrologer with 25 years experience and a following all over the globe, Marjorie brings the perfect mix of the mystic and the hugely practical to Kooma:
"When I gave up my television career to become a full time astrologer, what was intriguing were the number of people coming for consultations with a genuine interest in astrology, who were embarrassed to admit it publicly. More people believe in the influence of the stars than in any of the world's four main religions, yet few feel confident enough to say so. My fervent wish over the years has been to overcome that credibility gap - and help even the sceptics grasp that astrology is a highly useful tool, providing information on personality and life events, not easily available elsewhere. The fact that science cannot explain astrology is not a good enough reason for saying it does not exist."
