Clairvoyance

Clairvoyance literally means 'clear seeing' and that is how many clairvoyants describe their experiences, saying that they 'see' in a way that is not of the five physical senses. Clairvoyance is considered a kind of ESP, or extra-sensory perception, because the reader perceives scenes or images that are not through the eyes.

Many professional clairvoyants interpret their skills as 'understanding' more than 'seeing' in that they see images and sometimes emotions that other people hold in their psychic beings. They will have developed their talents through a conscious practice of meditation or other methods to put their mind into the relaxed state necessary for clairvoyant seeing.
