Happy Christmas!

As the end of the year is looming I just want to say a big thank you for reading my blogs this year, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them.

One thing I’ve realised this year is that you can get inspiration from some very strange places.

I went to Disneyland Resort Paris recently for the opening of their amazing Fairytale Christmas season and I can honestly say that I felt so uplifted being there it was almost like a spiritual experience!

I won’t deny that it’s partly down to the beautiful lights and decorations and the incredibly happy atmosphere of the place, but there’s also something so magical about seeing people so happy.

My boyfriend was particularly shocked when he turned around to find me crying while we were watching the snow fall on Main Street. I don’t what came over me but watching all the kids – some of whom have probably never even seen snow before – running around excitedly made me completely well up and before I knew it there were tears rolling down my cheeks.

I think it was that moment I realised what Christmas is really all about. There are so many lovely traditions behind 25th December – and of course the religious aspect still remains very strong – but what Christmas is ultimately about is happiness and family. And those, of course, are two of the most important things in the world.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
