Are cats super-psychic?

Cute and cuddly they may be, but kitties are also the world's most psychic animals, according to British spiritualist Theresa Cheung.

In a recent article, Theresa claims, "Many cats appear to have psychic powers. People frequently tell me their cats know when those they care about are unhappy or not feeling well, even if those people don't show it."
"Some animal behaviourists, including Rupert Sheldrake, believe that a psychic bond does exist between pets and their owners and that cats may be telepathic and clairvoyant."

To back up her claims, Theresa cites several cases where cats' unusual behaviour appears to have predicted natural disasters such as earthquakes, as well as manmade ones like the July 7th bombings in London.

And she has many more mundane examples of psychic pussy power to share too. According to one cat owner named Monica, "When I lived with my mother she would always have my dinner ready. My job wasn't nine to five, so how did she know when I'd be back? Because 15 to 20 minutes before I got home my cat would sit by the door and start crying. I'm serious. This happened every single time."
