Yoga is sweeping across the UK for primary school children as a way to improve their concentration and achievement.

Children as young as four are being taught ancient breathing and stretching techniques as the approach is being trialled amongst ten infant and junior schools in Essex.

The initiative has been backed by the government with a £20,000 grant to fund the lessons, while the approach has  already successful on pupils in Rotherhide, South London after they achieved 100% in their SATs exams after adopting the yoga positions.
