Something in the air
Chinese air traffic controllers were forced to close an airport this week, after spotting a UFO on their radar screens.
The mystery craft appeared in the sky close to the city of Hangzhou around 9pm on Wednesday evening, leading to flights being either grounded at Xiaoshan Airport or diverted to avoid the surrounding air space.
And while officials claimed that the UFO had only been visible to those using specialist equipment, bystanders begged to differ. Many eye-witnesses are said to have seen a fireball shooting across the sky, with one claiming, “The thing suddenly ran westwards fast, like it was escaping from something."
