Psychic Chew for TV

After the success of shows like Medium, it would seem US TV cannot get enough of the psychic world for subject matter.

The next to hit US screens will be an adaptation of a comic book entitled Chew. It's about a federal agent who is 'Cibopathic', which means he receives psychic messages from things that he eats – even corpses. Naturally, the government has big plans for him and as a result, he's assigned to various strange cases.

The book was created by John Layman and Rob Guillory, with John revealing, 'There are a lot of superhero comic books, but there are not many food comic books.' Right.

The show is now in development and will be screened on Showtime in the States.
