It almost sounds too good to be true, but a group of scientists claim to have developed a game that can help reduce stress levels in just five minutes a day.

According to their findings, a lot of stress is down to social anxieties about whether we’re liked and respected by our peers, and it’s these negative thoughts that cause us to feel low and frazzled. The Mind Habits game re-trains your brain to develop more positive thought processes that gradually allow you to become more secure and self-confident.

The games are as simple as picking out a smiling face in a crowd of frowns, yet apparently are powerful enough to refocus the way your mind perceives the world.
